ECUADOR  -  'Earthquake Death toll rises to over 600 and thousands more injured'

Maria stands forlornly in front of what little remains of her family home on the outskirts of Portoviejo in the Manabi province. It was early evening a little over three weeks ago when the 7.8 earthquake that was to kill 659 people and injure almost 28,000 began. It was felt as far away as Colombia and Peru, and in the following 24 hours over 55 aftershocks followed.

EQUADOR - EARTHQUAKE:

On 16 Apr 2016 an Earthquake Magnitude 7.8M, struck in the province of Esmeraldas, on the coast of Ecuador, 173 km from the capital, Quito. 654 reported dead and more than 12,500 injured. ShelterBox has partnered with
Progad a local NGO. 2000 Shelter
Kits,It has been over four years since conflict broke out.  More than 10 million people, almost half of Syria’s population have been displaced.  There have been repeated waves of displacement forcing 345,000 people from their home since 1 September 2015. 40,000 were displaced
SYRIA:

A 3-person SRT is visiting Niger and Cameroon to conduct evaluation activities for both responses and meet with partners IEDA (Cameroon) and PLAN (Niger). 224 ShelterBoxes, 1,000 tents, 2,000 solar lights and 2,000 water containers have been distributed.
NIGER & CAMEROON;

ShelterBox received a request for shelter assistance on 24 December following months of flooding, which have been declared the worst for 50 years. 170,000 people have been displaced.
PARAGUAY - FLOODING:

and NFIs (Water Filters, Water Carriers, Solar Lights, Kitchen Sets, Mosquito Nets) have arrived in Ecuador.
