Dear David,

Having recently returned from Taveuni Island after completing the build of the new toilet block for the Vuna District Primary school, and reflecting on the journey that got us there, I’m reminded afresh of the value of Rotary partnerships.

Not only did we establish funding partnerships for the project, but valued the partners on the volunteer team who worked on the project on the school site itself in Fiji.

The Rotary Cambridge members, Bill Wilson and Greg Gascoigne, strengthened our team with their commitment and skills, as well as their valued knowledge gained from having past experience on a previous project there.

We greatly appreciated their contribution and commitment, and Rotary Cambridge can feel proud of the part your club has played through their work.

The water and sanitation needs for the school were even greater than envisaged, and the new facility will contribute to the wellbeing of the children.

On behalf of our members at Rotary Otumoetai, Rotary Taveuni and the Vuna District primary school, thank you. You have been part of a very worthwhile project. I know Greg has some very good photos to share with your club.

Best wishes

Yours sincerely
