Rotaract is a service club run with similar aims and objectives as Rotary.
While there are no age limits, it is best suited to young adults (approx. 18-35 years old.) With the member's youthful energy and sense of fun, they set about trying to make the world a better place, whether it is in sustainable projects, like planting trees, or cleaning up a waterway, or assisting others who require help. Whatever the need they get in and make it happen.
Members develop their own personal skills through attending meetings, managing, and running projects, or through upskilling their knowledge through guest speakers.
Rotaract is an international arm of Rotary with a membership of over 184,000 with more than 8,000 clubs worldwide. Rotaract Clubs are self-governing and self-supporting and can be either university- or community-based.
Rotaract Clubs are sponsored by Rotary Clubs that offer guidance and support. Rotary and Rotaract are “partners in service”.
Currently, District 9930 has 1 Rotaract Club although others are being considered.
