The District 9930 website is built on the ClubRunner platform.  ClubRunner is a Canandian-based company, designed by and for Rotarians.   It has been tested by over ten years of service and is currently the choice of over 117 Rotary districts, and 5,000 Rotary clubs worldwide.

Because ClubRunner is designed by and for Rotarians, the club website platform provides a wide range of features specifically designed for Rotary clubs.  And, it recognises that Rotary is a volunteer-driven organisation.  The ClubRunner website is designed to be used by volunteer members with a modest level of computer skills, and ClubRunner provides extensive support through videos, on-line communication, telephone, and Webinars.

One feature of using ClubRunner at the club level is its seamless integration with both the District and Rotary International database.  All clubs in District 9930 are encouraged to use the district website as the one-stop location for managing the member records.  As noted in the "tools for Secretaries" clubs only need to manage their member records on the district site and everything will be automatically synced every 24 hours with the Rotary International database.

HOWEVER...  clubs who use ClubRunner for their individual club website have the additional option of managing member records on their own club site.   Again, everything will be automatically updated on both the District database and the Rotary International database.  In reality it doesn't matter whether you manage you club records through the district website or through your club's ClubRunner website,  the integration works in all directions and the RI, District, and club databases will all be in sync.

Here are a few frequently asked questions.

Can I use the district website for my club website?
NO.  Although every club is encouraged to have its own "page" on the District 9930 website, this page is not to be confused with having a dedicated club website.   The purpose of the club page on the district website is to provide an attractive "face" for every club with only basic contact and meeting information.  The club page also serves as the gateway to a dedicated club website for those clubs who have their own website.

Does my club have to subscribe to ClubRunner if it wants to have a dedicated club website?
NO.  You can have a dedicated club website using whatever platform and whatever web design service you wish... or design your own site if you have a member with the required computer skills.

Are there any free options for my club to have a dedicated website?
YES, there are several free websites options available.  WIX,  WEEBLY,  and GODADDY  are among the more popular on-line free website services.  However there are many more.  Just search for "free websites" on the internet and you will find a number of free options.   Just be aware that nothing is really "free".  Free websites often come with built-in advertising, or limit the features in their free sites in order to up-sale you on their full featured options.  And free websites typically do not appear in a top position, or appear at all, when doing a "Google" search.

What does it cost to have a ClubRunner website for my club?
ClubRunner subsciption rates are based on membership size.  Current pricing ranges from USD$20 per month for clubs with under 20 members to $40 for a club with 80 members (the largest club size in our district).   The is a one-time setup fee.  A free trial subscription is available.  You should check the ClubRunner website for complete pricing details.
