Mini Manual for PE's attending PETS   This guide has been developed for President-Elect training (PETS) and provides incoming Presidents with an understanding of how TRF works in D9930.

Giving to The Rotary Foundation

TRF Annual Giving Brochure    This brochure provides information about District 9930's programme for encouraging individual support to The Rotary Foundation.  It is a good tool for club's to give to all their members.

Individual Giving

TRF Member Commitment Form    This form is for individual Rotarians to make an annual pledge to support The Rotary Foundation.  It is part of Rotary's "Every Member, Every Year" campaign to encourage Rotarians to be regular supporters of the foundation.  Clubs are encouraged to use this form to promote a total club commitment To the Rotary Foundation (such as a Centurian or Sustaining Member)

TRF Bank Authorisation Form    This form is for use by individual Rotarians to authorise their bank to make regular automatic contributions to the Rotary Foundation.  The form allows the donor to specify the amount and the frequency of the automatic contributions as well as the period of time (for example $20 per month for 2 years)

 

Club Giving

Multi Donor Form This form is for use by the individual in the club (typically the Treasurer) responsible for reporting club and member contributions to The Rotary Foundation.  This single form is for reporting both club contributions as well as individual contributions.  It is the key form to ensure that proper credit is given by for:
  • Club contributions and for Paul Harris Fellow credits
  • Club recognition for district Foundation support
  • Individual recognition and tax deduction credit
This form is in interactive PDF format which means that you can enter your response directly into the form.  You can then save the document under a unique name and email to the Foundation Administrator.
 

Paul Harris Fellow Award application    This form is to be completed when applying for a Paul Harris Fellow Award.  Clubs must have at least 1000 recognition points recorded (i.e. USD$1,000 contribution to The Rotary Foundation) before submitting an application.  Clubs should allow four weeks for this application to be processed and shipping of the award certificate and pin.

IMPORTANT EXCHANGE RATE INFORMATION:  All contributions to The Rotary Foundation are credited to the individual, or club, in US Dollars.   Since contributions made by D9930 individuals and clubs are made in New Zealand dollars, these contributions will be converted to US dollars at an exchange rate which is set monthly by Rotary International.  To determine the current exchange rate go to:

Rotary Foundation Grants

The Rotary Foundation grant structure enables Rotarians to change people’s lives, make the world a better place, and help meet the priorities and goals of Rotary’s strategic plan.  The grant structure of The Rotary Foundation is based on two types of grants,  DISTRICT GRANTS  and GLOBAL GRANTS

District Grants

Clubs seeking to learn more about District Grants, or wish to apply for a District Grant, should download this comprehensive "Guide to District Grants"  This guide addresses every aspect of creating a project and applying for a District Grant project.

District Grant Application form for 2023-24  Use this form to apply for a District Grant.  The form is in MS Word format and you can enter your information directly into the form. 
Alternatively, if you are unable to use the MS Word version of this form you can use the PDF version.  This version allows you to enter your application information but is less flexible than the MS Word version,  NOTE.  You must save the PDF file to preserve the information you have entered into the form.... preferably naming the file with your club name )

District Grants Criteria Checklist 2023-24 District 9930.  Here is the requirement for your club to apply for a Grant.
 
District Grant Reporting Form:   For use by recipients of a District Grant to comply with their reporting requirements.   This is form can be used for any Rotary Year and can be used to provide updates on previous reports. 
 
Terms and Conditions for Rotary Foundation District Grants and Global Grants     These are the rules with which both the District and clubs must comply when receiving funds from the Foundation
 
Club Memorandum of Understanding   This document must be signed and current before any District or Global Grant, or Rotary Foundation funded scholarship, can be approved.
 
Club Memorandum of Understanding Worksheet   This worksheet will take you through a step-by-step process to help you understand what your club is committing to when it signs the Memorandum of Understanding and how to implement it. 
 
Club Financial  Management plan)    All Clubs that apply for a District Grant are required to have a Club Board approved Financial Management Plan relating to the receipt and application of funds from the District Grant. This worksheet will give you a draft template version of the Club Financial Management Plan that can be used as a template for developing your own club’s approved plan.

Global Grants

Global Grants offer clubs and districts the opportunity to participate in strategically focused, high-impact, activities within the seven areas of focus established by The Rotary Foundation.  The minimum total budget for a global grant project is US$30,000.  Clubs apply directly to The Rotary Foundation.  Global Grant projects a done in partnership with at least one other Rotary club or district in another country.  Applications can be submitted at any time during the year and grant awards are made throughout the year.

The "Guide to Global Grants" is also available on the Rotary International website.   By going to this area of the RI website you will also be in the work area for applying and managing a Global Grants.  It's good to become familiar with this area of the RI website.  Just click on the image below.  
 
 
The district is responsible for conducting Global Grants Management Training Seminars which qualify clubs to apply for a Global Grant.  However, the district does not handle Global Grant applications.  You need to apply directly by The Rotary Foundation to apply for a Global Grants.
