The District Training and Development Committee works primarily with the District Governor Elect in the planning and presentation of all training for the District. District Training focuses on the following areas:
President-Elect Seminars (PETS)
- PETS-1: These workshops are held in late October / early November for president-elects. The training is designed to familiarise incoming presidents with the scope of their repsonsibility for the upcoming year, provide them with tools to help them be an effective club leader, and provide networking opportunities with other clubs in the District.
- South Pacific PETS: In March each year a 2-day conference is held in Auckland for all president-elects from the 6 New Zealand districts which include the Pacific Island clubs. The conference focuses on the full scope of Rotary International through a series of workshops and international speakers.
