District Governor Elect 

 

Born and raised in a farming community in the Central North Island, Rotorua has always been my home.

 

I'm a sister, the proud mum of three daughters, and Nana to six wonderful grandchildren.

My career has spanned the education, not-for-profit, and forestry sectors, with the final 13 years before my retirement spent working in the forestry industry.

Throughout my life, volunteering has been a constant and I've always believed in giving back to the community I'm part of. This is what first drew me to Rotary and continues to inspire my involvement today.

It is an incredible privilege and honour to serve our members, our clubs, and the communities we support across our district. I am genuinely proud to represent a district filled with passionate people who give their time, talents, and hearts to making a difference every day.

Over the next two years, I look forward to visiting clubs, celebrating your successes, sharing your stories, and working alongside you as we continue to grow Rotary's impact.

This year, I have invited our clubs to focus on three simple ideas:

Be Visible – Let your community see the difference Rotary makes.
Be Bold – Challenge yourselves to try something new.
Be Connected – Build partnerships and work together because we achieve more when we collaborate.

I am excited for the journey ahead and can't wait to meet more of you, hear your stories, and celebrate everything that makes District 9930 such a special place.
