Last Tuesday, on the 1st of June, Club member Trevor Page celebrated his 102 birthday with his now historic climb to the top of Sugar Loaf Hill. (Pukekura).
Trevor has been doing this daily climb for 53 years and only misses the walk because of bad weather.
The Dominion recorded the event on its Stuff online page.

He was greeted at the top on Tuesday by 17 other regular walkers, who had brought champagne, cake, and a guitar. Surrounded by torchlight and Napier’s city lights, they sang the chuffed 102-year-old "Happy Birthday".

Accompanying him was his daughter Michelle Page, who had travelled from Great Barrier Island to be with her father on his 102nd birthday She said he was an “inspiration” to many, as he continued with his morning routine. (Thanks to Stuff)
