The Rotary Oceania website https://rotaryoceania.zone/page/one-million-masks has been updated and has the full information on how to order masks for communities and schools.
Please check it out. Note that schools are now required to have staff and students wear quality masks from Year 4 up.
Please can all clubs work with their communities and schools to raise funds to purchase these quality masks?
The price that has been arranged with Lanaco is substantially less than retail.
Clubs that engage in charity work to assist schools or communities with these masks are able to purchase masks for individual members in their clubs at the same price.
The Ministry of Social Development has agreed this morning to provide the funding to the NZ Food Network for the additional 30,000 masks the total cost to them is $80,000. The NZ Food Network is reaching out to the Food Relief groups around the country to ask them for orders of masks that will also go through the same process. They will be ordering at a rate of a minimum of 1000 masks at a time.
