Today, as your Representative on the Council on Resolutions (COR), I received the 2017 resolutions of this year’s online Council.
It is important to stress this Council on Resolutions only considers resolutions, not enactments. Enactments are considered every 3 years at the Council on Legislation (COL); the next COL will be conducted in April 2019 in Chicago.
Enactments, if passed amend the constitution or by-laws of Rotary International or a Club, while a passed resolution expresses an opinion, or makes a recommendation, to the Rotary International Board for consideration.
There are 38 resolutions to be considered and voted upon.
These are available for all Rotarians to view at my.rotary.org/cor/vote
District Representatives will begin voting on 15 October.
Over the next month or so, I will be studying the resolutions, and then as your D9930 representative, voting on them.
