She talked to us about her experience at Outward Bound which she attended 2-22nd December. Her journey started at the Kayak camp which was two days, the second scheme was Hiking where they climbed mountains and was testing. The 3rd scheme was sailing which was difficult without wind. They had 32 hours solo – 2 nights and one day with limited food. Gave her time to think about goals and loved the peace and quiet with no technology.  The next scheme was a 6 day sailing and tramping experience.

They sailed to Resolution Bay on Endeavour 3 with the highlight be a visit of a pod of Orkas. They tramped back to Onekiwa which took 38 hours to cover the 63 kms. The final scheme was a 21 km marathon – her goal was to complete under 2 ½ hrs and she did it in 2 hours and 29 minutes.
