ROTARY CLUB OF HAMILTON EAST GAME NIGHT
Teams of five by ballot. Teams may be increased in size if more than 35 are present (Teams may be reduced to 4, or less if numbers are less, or some games may be omitted)
               The winning team has the most total points from all games.
 
Each team appoints a Team Manager before the competition commences. The Manager determines who goes in what order in each game and takes responsibility for the marking and accuracy of scores. Team Managers will be provided with a score sheet to list scores from each game.
60 minutes are aside for the activity. This allows for initial briefing, movement between games, scoring, and presentation at the conclusion.
 
               There are 7 Games – Each team spends 5 minutes at each game
1.            Words. The challenge for the team as a whole is to list as many words as possible from the supplied 4 letters – The same letters for all teams. The words must be in the Oxford dictionary – 1 game point for each word.
2.            Darts – Team members take turns with 3 darts at each turn– The object is to score as many points as possible as quickly as possible in the time allocated. The total points for the team are combined and then divided by 100  with 1 game point for every 100 points scored or part thereof.
3.            Golf putting – Team members take turns with 3 balls at each turn. The aim is to get the golf ball into tins at top of the course with the highest numbers on them. The total points scored by the team as a whole are then divided by 10 with each 10 worth 1 game point.
4.            Object Identification. The team as a group is challenged to correctly Identify 10 objects/persons in photographs.  The object/person is only partially shown. 1 game point for each correct guess.
5.            New Zealand Geography quiz – 10 questions – Team as a group are challenged to come up with correct answers. 1 game point for each correct.
6.            Skittles – Team members take turns, 1 underhand throw at a time with a tennis ball, to try and collect as many points as possible in the time available. 5 skittles of various sizes with different number values shown on them are standing at the end of the course in designated places. The aim is to gain as many points as possible by knocking over the skittle with the highest value on it. Challenge- do you aim to go for the smallest target with the highest value or a larger target with a lower value? Accumulated points are divided by 10 with every 10 or part thereof worth 1 game point.
7.            Complete the quotation. The challenge for the team as a group is to complete a famous quotation correctly. 1 point for each quotation correctly completed.
