Many of the Rotary Havelock North members were busy from Friday morning until mid-afternoon Sunday with the district conference which was held at the Toitoi events centre in Hastings.

What a great event this was and how proud were we of Hawkes Bay and the region that we could showcase to all the visitors.

We ended up with 330 for dinner on Saturday night and the Mid-Life Crisis theme was taken on board by the majority of attendees. The team from Cambridge Rotary with their Mid-Wife crisis and pregnant seniors took the prize for the best dressed and themed club.
Havelock North was a tie for second, though, with our wonderful placards and the effort many put into their costumes. Here is a link to the photo’s taken by Wayne Dobson of the event. Below is a photo of our protest and placards.

The whole conference was wonderful from beginning to end and there were many compliments on how good the conference was. I am sure you will hear from the attendees how much they enjoyed it.
