The five Rotary Clubs of Napier have combined to plant three different areas of the Rotary Pathway between Bayview and Westshore.

This was the first 1.3 kilometer section of the Napier Rotary Pathway which now extends to some 126 kilometers.

Opened by the then Mayor of Napier and Ahiriri Club Patron Barbara Arnott, this beautification of the pathway will greet people visiting Napier from the North.

The first of three sections will have 367 trees and shrubs, mostly natives planted by Rotarians under the guidance of Napier Parks Asset Planner Jason Tickner. Fully landscaped and irrigated thanks to Napier Council the first sod will be turned by District Governor Leonie Tisch on Sunday 27th May 2018.

Section two will be done in 2019 and the last in 2020.

The combined investment by the five clubs over three years is estimated to be $15,000.00.
