October is  Economic and Community Development Month
As I travel around our Clubs in District 9930 it amazes me how well Rotarians are able to support investment in their people which creates in turn a fantastic measurable and enduring economic improvement in the lives of so many and their communities.
This economic and community development is created through the building of leaders, entrepreneurs, and community networks.  All clubs can develop opportunities for productive work either within their area or overseas or both through the projects they decide to support and the people who are leading these projects.  Rotarians are people of action who have the power to improve communities and economic outcomes within those communities.
By investing in our people we can reduce poverty in under-served communities and support studies for career-minded professionals.
It does not matter if you are a small club with limited resources or a big club with unlimited resources if you support your members you are providing the greatest gift to better economic and community development.
