The Rotary Foundation grant structure enables Rotarians to change people’s lives, make the world a better place, and help meet the priorities and goals of Rotary’s strategic plan. The structure is based on two types of grants, DISTRICT GRANTS and GLOBAL GRANTS

The district is responsible for conducting Global Grant Training Seminars which qualify clubs to apply for a Global Grant. However, the district does not handle applications for Global Grants or oversee the management of the grants. A comprehensive guide to Global Grants is available on the Rotary International Website. As all matters related to Global Grants are handled directly by The Rotary Foundation, you will need to manage a grant application through the Rotary International website.
Other Rotary Funding for International Projects
Assistance to carry our international projects can also be provided by Rotary New Zealand World Community Service (RNZWCS). It may be possible to access funds through the New Zealand Aid Programme (NZAP) for projects meeting strict criteria relating to development and capacity building as distinct from welfare. Applications for NZAP grants must be made through RNZWCS Ltd. The application process for these grants can be quite complex and clubs are encouraged to seek advice as early as possible.
