Well done to all for an enjoyable change over luncheon – great food and company.
All the best to President Craig (x3) for the year ahead. The idea of fun is appealing and that, of course, is what Rotary should be about.
President Craig’s comment about attracting new members was certainly commendable, but I believe as a club, we need to do some serious reflecting on what we have to offer perspective members. Yes, we do our bit in support of Polio Plus, other charitable causes and individuals, the distribution of dictionaries to a couple of schools and a couple of street appeals each year.
But do we have anything to offer prospective members at our weekly meetings? We have to be more than a group of predominantly retired fold who enjoy getting together once a week for a catch-up. Whilst there is nothing wrong with this in itself, to attract new members, there needs to be more.
So come on Executive, let’s hear your ideas for the year ahead.
