During the last few months, extreme weather has left thousands of families without a single scrap of shelter.

From devastating hurricanes in the Caribbean to the Rohingya crisis in Bangladesh, families have been forced into a life and death struggle against the elements.

Earlier this year a 49-year-old mother from Peru, after heavy rainfall had devastated her village said: ‘We are at the end of the world. No one comes here. No one visits or brings help… We were so happy to receive our ShelterBox. It was like Christmas in a box!’

Our ShelterBoxes have the power to transform lives. They’re more than just tents and blankets – they can become a home, a place where families come together.
So when you are wrapping your Christmas presents this year, please think about adding another magical gift – to ShelterBox.  THANK YOU!

'Their  "Smiles" - make it all worthwhile'

Border problems, fighting, and constant insecurity make getting aid to families displaced by the fighting in Syria very challenging. But as one of ReliefAid's team remarked ‘the smiles on the kid’s faces make it all worth-while'.

ShelterBox continues to work in partnership with the New Zealand based ReliefAid organisation to get our aid to those who need it most.

'Jimmy Griffith - New Zealand SRT'

Jimmy has recently written from Bangladesh, in which he outlines his work with a number of organisations on the ground.
He says, "our cluster meets up each week with a number of organisations such as, Save the Children, UNHCR etc and the cluster enables us work together to save time and not overlap or duplicate our work".
Jimmy has done two deployments into the area firstly, to assist families after the flooding in late August and recently, to assist with the refugee crisis which has grown to over 700,000.

Jimmy is seen in the picture above discussing some of the technical points of framing for the new family shelters with the Head of Cluster, Graham Eastmond, a UK national working with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

'Support our "GIVE" Campaign this Christmas'

In the last few months, extreme weather has left thousands of families without a single scrap of shelter.
Earlier this year we met Solar, a 49-year-old mother from Peru, after heavy rainfall had devastated her village.
She said: ‘We are at the end of the world. No one comes here. No one visits and brings help…We were so happy to receive the box. It was like Christmas in a box!’
Our ShelterBoxes have the power to transform lives. They’re more than just tents and blankets – they can become a home, a place where families come together.
So when you are wrapping your Christmas presents this year, please think about adding another magical gift – to ShelterBox. Will you put Christmas in a box for another family?

Will you help?

'Cameroon - Shelter construction'

When we were notified that 100 families had been released from Boko Haram captivity in Cameroon, we knew there was something we could do to help. With so much fear around Boko Haram, these people were ostracised from their communities and could no longer return home.

With the support of the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency and IEDA Relief, we have constructed 50 shelters with a further 50 currently being built, helping these families who have witnessed so much violence reintegrate into their home country.

'Thank You - to all our supporters'

We're taking the time today to say thank you! The aid we provide goes beyond tents and tools. It has the power to transform despair into hope, rebuild homes and mend whole communities.

Without your support and generous giving of time and money, none of this would be possible. Thank you from the bottom of all our hearts - we look forward to working together in 2018 to ensure that no family is left without shelter.

Please help us to reach more families affected by natural disasters:
