Go Baby Go,” is a program that provides modified, ride-on cars to young children with disabilities so they can move around independently.
These modified toy cars give children with mobility difficulties a chance to play and socialize with their peers more easily.
The cars which were handed over to 11 deserving children from the Waikato, were the result of fundraising by the Combined Rotary Clubs of Rotary Clubs of Hamilton,
Otorohanga, Waikato Sunrise, Frankton Te Rapa, Fairfield,
Hamilton East, and Huntly.
Here we are this morning at Coombes Johnston BMW in Hamilton, with Rotarians from the Combined Rotary Clubs of Hamilton - as the kids start arriving! Far right, is our Rotary District Governor Leonie Tisch, and (middle, standing) Margaret Peapell, with some of our GobabyGo volunteers in front - (left to right) Mark, Ivy and Murray.
The Gobabygo team of volunteers are grateful for the support we receive in the Waikato from the combined Rotary clubs of Hamilton, from the Coombes Johnson BMW dealer – BMW NZ is an annual donor – and from the local therapist network.
Build coordinator Mark says, “We’re looking forward to returning to donate more cars, as soon as more families have applied.”
