Yesterd ay we went on a tour at the Fortress of Louisburg a huge war area in the 1700s. We also visited the first lighthouse in North America. We stopped at a Yacht Club to join the Pictou Rotary Club. They served us seafood chowder for lunch with a big bun stuffed with lobster. Seems to be the norm around here.

I really enjoyed visiting my host Margie who stayed with me in NZ who owns & operates a  massive farm along with her two brothers. The blueb erries, strawberries, cherry tomatoes, raspberries & yellow raspberries were the biggest venture I had ever seen. They had 120 Mexican people employed & have up to 400 Mexican workers when its busy. Nova Scotia like Europe has so much history. Where we are now in Sydney it has a lot of French & Scottish heritage.
I hope that jolly rain has eased up for you all. We have had a few light showers. It is however cooler up this area.
We have travelled a good part of Nova Scotia. Presently we are right up the southern end of the beautiful area of Cape Breton. The history with the French trying to take over this area has been most interesting. The fishing villages are so unique over here. Lobsters by the tonnes. Its ok but I wouldn't rave on about it. Of course they say it’s the best in the world over here  however I think our crayfish is far superior . Haven't had a spare second during the day. Its all very full on. We head off each morning & all is so organised down to the hour. The past three nights we have had scrumptious dinner parties put on by Rotary members . My oh my.The homes all beside Lakes stunning views & million dollar homes .The other night we meet at a member here in Sydney at a  restaurant called the Boston Pizza. This guy Gordon Card President of Sydney Rotary Club not only provided everything he paid the bill for all we Rotarians about 20 of us. The restaurant was huge seating around 250. It had everything you could think of on the menu. The generosity of the folk over here is astounding. They will not let you pay for a thing. Of course we are paying our admission fees to the attractions we visit.
