Rotary Down Under needs more articles from New Zealand
As a magazine, Rotary Down Under continues to receive strong support and a great many positive comments for the new format of the last few months. Most feedback mentions the practical nature of many of the articles in helping Rotarians and clubs in their Rotary activity. Therefore the use and sharing of these needs to be encouraged at all levels of Rotary activity.
There is a bit of a “however”.
There has been a noticeable drop off of articles being received from New Zealand and Pacific clubs and projects while at the same time these have been increasing across the Tasman from Australian clubs. Historically, New Zealand and Pacific Rotary has enjoyed a very strong proportional representation in the magazine.
This has been and is only possible if good articles and photos are sent in to be considered for publication and you are in the best position to encourage this from the clubs in your district. Don’t forget also that some of your district committees can also submit concerning their activities.
Providing ‘copy ready’ articles of 350 words with a hi-res picture is always preferable but if needed, and sufficient detail is provided, there is now the capacity for some articles to be written at Rotary Down Under, where these have been selected for inclusion.
Beryl is now receiving and monitoring all articles for Rotary Down Under, which now all need to be sent to editorial@rotarydownunder.com.au
