Golfing whiz kid and District Public Image Chair Jock McIntyre blitzed a quality field to secure the District Top Golfer Award.

Finishing with an unbelievable 40 stableford points Jock left the other 11 men and 2 ladies fighting over minor positions and the finger food platter.

Basking in his win Jock said that the tournament returned a profit of $140 which went to The Rotary Foundation.

This was the first district tournament played for about three years due to then prevailing weather conditions. Jock said that there was no need for concern in sunny Napier.

Jock said he would take good care of the trophy and have up "up for grabs" by next convention.
